Ethio Telcom(hereinafter called “ET”) invites all interested potential local potential local public, private, state owed business organization and Cooperatives/Associations (hereinafter called “Distributors”) by this request for proposal (hereinafter called “REP”) to submit distribution proposal and if selected to engage with ET as non-exclusive authorized Distributors for sales and distributors on both SIM and recharge.
1. The Distributors should submit their renewed original license and VAT certificate with copies when they come to obtain the RFP documents. Those Distributions that cannot able to provide their trade registration and licensing document should submit their legal establishment original document with copies. The REP remains floating from 31/12/2010 to 14/01/2011.
2. REP documents can be obtained from ET’s Head office, 22 Mazoria N.B building 4th floor Room No 404 by paying non returnable birr 30.00.Intersted bidders can buy the bid document during office hours from 8:30am to 4:00 pm.
3. All proposals must be accompanied by REP security in the amount of birr 20,000.00(twenty Thousand birr )
3.1 the bid bond must be in either of the following form
a) Cash
b) Certified Cheque(CPO)issued by a recognized Bank or
c) Bank guarantee from recognized bank.
3.2 Distributors who wish to submit Bid security n the form of cash are required to deposit to ET’s head office 3rd floor Room No 308 before January 15,2011,10:00am and produce the receipt during the RFP opening time(15 January 2011)
4. Distributors should prepare their RFP document in a wax sealed envelope marked as “Proposal for prepaid Voucher card and SIM Card Distribution” and addressed to:

5. The proposal will be received at the ET’s Head office Room No 404 in Addis Ababa before or on January 14,2011, until 5;00pm. Proposal received after this closing time will be automatically rejected.
6. Proposal received in time and fulfilling the other formalities shall be opened in the presence of interested Distributors or their legal representatives at 4:30 am January 15,2011 ET’s Head office at Addis Ababa, Room 903.
7. The company reserves the right to reject all or of this REP
